Laurie Hannan Anton, Esq. has 31 years of experience in personal injury law and is a member of our Commercial and Business Litigation Department.
She is licensed to practice in Florida, Tennessee, and New York and has an extensive background in the areas of intellectual property, workers compensation, real estate, Music, Film and Business litigation, of all types. She has handled negotiations for music and film clients with major entertainment entities, and has experience as a producer.
She has worked with residential and commercial investors, clients in the areas of short sales, foreclosures, purchase and sale of residential and commercial properties, title companies, lenders, and is a member of the Cape Coral & Fort Myers Board of Realtors, Florida Association of Realtors, and National Association of Realtors. Laurie is a Certified Mediator and for over a decade she has been a member of Florida Association of Professional Mediators (F.A.P.M.)
She holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Miami, in Coral Gables, Florida, in Music with emphasis on Psychology and Music Therapy, and her Masters in Business Administration from Nova Southeastern Huizenga School of Entrepreneurship, with honors. She received her Law Degree from Nova Southeastern Shepard Broad Law School in Fort Lauderdale.
She is licensed in the Southern District of Florida Federal Court, as well as the Middle District of Florida, and the Eastern District Federal Court for Tennessee.
She is a former Chair of the Florida Bar’s Entertainment, Arts and Sports Law Section, and former President of the Lee County Association for Women Lawyers. She is a Certified Circuit Court Mediator since 1994, and is also certified as a Residential Mortgage Foreclosure Mediator.
Prior to coming to work with The Law Offices of Marc Shapiro, P.A. she worked with a law firm with over 75 lawyers, as well as working as a solo practitioner in the Southwest Florida area.
